I am not going to start a hate thread,i just lost ALL interest when speed started going full bore NASCAR. Dont get me wrong,i have hillbilly roots in my family. I just watch the races like The glen,Sonoma,Daytona,Talladega,bristol,and maybe a couple of others.I dont follow the chase for the cup anymore. I watched it until Earnhardt died. He was one of the few who didn't care about the politics of it all, since then its just gotten more and more political. Speed converting to mostly nascar didn't help either. Anyone into the history of Nascar should read Smokey Yunick's book "Best ... garage in town", its hard to find but a great read about the start and the early years of Nascar. Also talks a bit about him and Bill France Sr. and their relationship as after Smokey left and before Sr. died they did meet up and stay in touch.Comment

yep, I used to race in the NASCAR sanctioned Late Model Stock Car (LMSC) division at short tracks all over NC and VA on saturday night. But after driving, I rarely watch it on TV except for Bristol and road courses.
these are from this past summer, testing out a new car for a friend. 750 horsepower, 2800 pounds and something like a 5.71 rear gear.
