    So I got a job/internship at pss#5

So I went for the interview/orientation for a paid internship for the nypd. Working at shop 5 on Staten Island as a fleet serviceman. 5 hours everyday before school. Anybody else had an opportunity for this kind of thing? Not only do I get training for the serviceman test, but I also get a recommendation from the NYPD to all the colleges that I apply to.

This is great. Not only are you not sitting on the couch playing ps3 and smoking dope but you are out working and getting real life experience. There maybe hope for your generation after all.

    Work hard.

Hell yeah get those internships. I'm a senator at my college and I'm running for president this April. With the presidency position, most universities will take me. They love educationally smart kids who play a leader roll in the student body. My extra curriculars are through the roof right now too.

              Wrong.

The more people you know the better, especially in the current work environment. And this will be a great opportunity for him to meet people and network.

              Make the best of it!

Really, the NYPD? I hate cops... at least around here. They probably actually solve crime over there though. GL, idk being a cop seems to be shooting kind of low on the bar of employment. You can be one here in two years once you're 18. They top out at what? Like 75K after you've been working for the department all your life.

Do you read? Never did I say I was a cop or shooting to be one. A union mechanic salary starts at 70k. I know union mechs that make about 110k a year.

whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa WHOA

Settle down there little guy. You didn't state what exactly you were doing in your first post ether. Anyways I still wish you good luck. Maybe i'll bring one of my car's by so you can mount a set of tire's for me when you're a Union Mechanic... however I doubt you'll be starting at 70k.

Most people don't become police officers for the paycheck.

pretty sure he said he was going to be a fleet service man.......

and the money you make really depends on what area you're in.

anyway congrats on that, more on the resume the better. along with the more contacts and good feedback you have from any employer.

but I've heard minis can run premium gas safely.
