"Minus Profiles" are coming for that purpose! :)

You can't at this point. We auto-resize for "galleries" view but still provide FULL IMAGE view link at same time.

I had a picture dump of about 200 photos that I were gonna go in to a build thread but they are so dam huge!! Hopefully this option comes by soon! I really love the simplicity of it...

We re-size images for gallery view, but the single html image view or direct image view is still full size. Nick can you let me know the problem in more details?
