I've shot the XDM .40 and it didn't feel bad. Full size though. Was comparable to my brothers FNX 9mm, but of course the recoil on the 9mm felt less snappy. I'm looking at .45 handguns now as I already have a 9mm and I don't see a need for a .40 with todays HD ammunition. Also don't feel a need for a .380 but the Walther PK380 feels amazing for how small it is.
