The front end is disgusting. The rims are terrible. But the side shot does look nice.

As for the engine, a V8 is nice, but I hate thinking about any //M with FI.

So you're comparing an engine that makes more power naturally at almost the same displacement as the twin turbo v8 going into the M versions of these cars?

What is BMW doing? The E60 was hot, the new 5-er is gross. The new 3-series sucks. They ruined the Z4. The 7-series got butchered. Now they have x6s and every model has an m version. They sunk to turbos. It's insanity.

BMW took a huge nosedive after Bangle. Not a fan. I would buy almost anything before a new BMW. That's not easy to say. I've spent a good deal of time working at BMW dealerships, and I've seen a lot of cars come and go.

Nope, the later ones were based on the e28, early ones based on the e12. Both 5 series'.

Oh, i think that a e24 is a 2 door e23, front and rear are the same, as are the porportions.

Yes design wise youre right the 6 resembled the 7 more that generation because it was a grand tourer, not some sporty around town kid hauler like the 5 was.

But as far as based on? Theres no think about it, the floor pan of my 78 633 is the floorpan from a 78 530 and same for the later cars, based on the e28 chassis.
