Tanning is not the city you hick. Either dress like a touristy fool taking pics the whole time with a "I LOVE NYC" tshirt while complaining about the Metrocard and how badly the city smells, be an artsy hipster college douche (age appropriate), or put on a suit because if you're in normal streets you'll be asked where the nearest Chinese restaurant is.
