    Woodworkers?

Shopsmith Mark V good piece of equipment, have the chance to pick one up cheap. Member of family offered to me as relative passed and they are cleaning out house. They are about 3.5K on average.

I am doing some carpentry around the house so the table saw and the the misc equipment would be nice vs the hand and small power tools.

I'd take it if I where you. It's always handy to have around. My pop's and I build most of our furniture/cabinets/ect for the house. Always a good time.

What kind of carpentry are you doing exactly? Half of the time it comes down to rough in cuts with the table saw, routing the edges and then all hand tools for the finishes.

remodeling the upstairs of GF's house. Doing home improvement stuff and next is a new kitchen cabinets I planned to make. That way I get the old ones for the basement& garage. I am also doing a new stair well.

They want a grand for it with all attachments plus dust collector. Bit more than I want to spend at the moment but for size wise they are great.

Nice. Cabinets are fun if a bit tedious. To be honest though, half the time you can get cabinet faces for cheaper than you can make them in raw materials and a fraction of your time put into it.

The setup your looking at (IIRC) would be tits for furniture and a lot of the smaller detail stuff. As for the grand? Totally worth it in my book if you're going to use it on any semi-regular basis. It's super nice to just have handy though.

Stair wells. If you plan on fancy hand rails, ect, it would be a pretty good help.

Need to spiff up the rails and spindles as it has none. It has a barrier style which is ugly. Older farm house with a relocated stairwell. So I have been kicking the idea of open stair well design. Spent the summer doing insulation and drywall. Doing floors right now. And might make the upstairs half bath into a 3/4 bath at some point.
