    Legends reincarnation attempts thread

So we've seen a modern take on the Stratos, Audi Quattro...

Maybe we should have a thread about this type of cars (created to honor the legends and to bring $$ but usually failures).

Here's my input from Euro playground.

    Renault's 80's small monster - R5.

They attempted to recreate it and failed miserably. The concept was simple. Take the Clio, put the engine in the trunk (as it was in the original) and call it a day. The result - Clio V6 - was a very fast car, nearly impossible to drive. Looked interesting though:

Weren't there two different turbo Renault 5? One was standard looking and basically looking like a Renault Alpine, and the extraverted one, pictured above? BTW the box flared one is gorgious...
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

There were many Renault that were treated to Alpine modifications. The Renault 5 Alpine had custom lower suspension, wheels and bodywork.

Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

The CSL has always been legendary in my book:

And I agree with the 507. I think it looks way better in person than it does in pictures.

OP... The 24v v6 clio is beast and one of the number 1 fantasy garage imports people vote for to import but we cant reasonably in us. I would rock the everliving shit out of the remake.

There are 2 series of Clio V6s - early and late. Early will bite your face off and poo in your letterbox. Later is much nicer - it will only molest your dog and tip over your bins.
