question about PMs

If I send one of you a PM, it shows up in my outbox. If you read it, does it then go to the sent box? Can someone read a message and not let it show up
as sent? I guess what I am asking is: How can I tell if someone has read a message from me?

Your outbox consists of unread messages. Your sentbox consists of read messages.
