I used to have a lot more cool pics uploaded, but they disappeared a year or so ago....maybe I can find them on my HD somewhere though....here's a couple of the car and motor though, as well as my thread on 190rev which has been ongoing for the last 4-5 years

Car is not finished yet, but the motor is going back into the car as we speak, after it's second full rebuild (first one was done improperly I came to find out). Original trans is being built up with stronger internals/kevlar bands, so that is kind of what is holding up completion at this point.

I don't think I'm aware of any w201 LSx swaps (not saying there aren't any), but I do know of a couple old school 350 swaps and a Ford V8. Probably much bigger bang for your buck than my project (what I thought would be a little $5k project has ballooned into about 6x's that expense), but I was kind of trying to keep everything MB, and recreate the Carlsson/Brabus 5.0's of the early w201 days....though with a little bit more displacement of course :) Sadly, it is a US spec motor, so only 240 HP and 290-ish TQ, but I think it will be plenty for the little 2700 lb car....at least until I can spare some extra $$$ to go FI and EFI with it.

Ahh yes, nice find....I had actually forgotten about that one. He posted a little bit on some of the mb boards, and then I never saw anything else.....think his garage was broken into at some point with a lot of the cooler items of his project being stolen (including some BBS LM's IIRC)

edit: yeah, that is the one. I wonder whatever happened to it...
