Saw it at midnight with a couple other r3vers. It was definately the best of the new trilogy but still a dissapointment in comparison with the originals. I thought the ending was great (except where Vader screams "NO!") the way it transitions into A New Hope. What are your thoughts? Did you like it or not? What did you like or dislike about it?

it was good enough. what i appreciated about it was that it was long but still pretty fast-paced all the way through.
what i didn't like are a few continuity errors you notice when you've seen the "clone wars" cartoon series that's supposed to fit between ep2 and ep3. and it was maybe a bit mushy @ some points... "hold me like you did on naboo" i was thinking "ok, bitch is knocked up, they're in love, we get it"past:
1989 325is (learner shitbox)
1986 325e (turbo dorito)
1991 318ic (5-lug ITB)
1985 323i baur
current:
1995 M3 (suspension, 17x9/255-40, borla) -
I saw it too. The funniest part maybe have been when Padme announced she was pregnant, and all the the nerds in the theater thought it was the funniest thing they'd ever heard.Comment

The only real gripe I have is all of the amazingly detailed gadets, droids, ships and everything are present throughout the entire movie, as with Episodes I and II, but then at the end of Episode III, cut to the bridge of the Star Destroyer with Plapatine and Darth Vader, and all of a sudden, it's 1977 again, with big giant switches and big blinking lights, sitting on the fronts of big walls that look like computer banks from UNIVAC. If his plan was to at the end of the film, return to the low-budget style of the orignal 3 films, why not do it throughout all of Episodes I, II and III? As I'm sure I'm agreed with by just about everyone, the overuse of CGI and a a budget that would make Bill Gates blush are what left me feeling cold toward the new films.Comment

i dont think the budget was the issue. these actors had no rapport. there was no chemistry. lucas created a great dialogue between hamill, fisher, and harrison ford. that was awesome in the first film. after that he stopped writing and that magic was lost. oh well.sigpicComment
