    True Grit

Going to watch True Grit here in about an hour. Anyone else seen it yet?
For those who don't know, its a remake of my favorite John Wayne movie of all time. Marshall Cogburn (John Wayne/Jeff Bridges) helps a young girl find her father's killer with the help of a Texas Ranger LeBeuf (Glen Campbell/Matt Damon).

It isn't a remake. The Coen Brothers based this movie on the book which the John Wayne movie was also based on. You will find that while the general story is the same, it is very different from the original (and superior in my opinion).

I saw it on Wednesday and I enjoyed it. It has the quirky characters, witty dialogue and subtle humor which are characteristic of Coen Brother's movies. The cinematography was also fantastic as was the music. It is not the Coen Brothers best, but it is definitely worth the watch. 7/10

I really enjoyed it, the dialogue was great. Very witty, dry humor.
I saw that the focus was on the girl, more so than the John Wayne version.

I thought it was very well done myself, I give it 8/10

It was ok but wasn't anywhere near as good to the John Wayne version.
Still has the retarded Hollywood crap added in the "add" to the story.

I thought it was good, but a bit lukewarm for a Coen bros movie.
A lot of the dialogue at the beginning was too drawn out for how irrelevant and unclever it was, and the rest of the movie was a little too predictable and bland.
It's definitely no No Country for Old Men..
