The pics of the gun implacement were cool. I have a couple of friends from Sipan and they told me about when they were growing upon the island, they would go exploring and run accross tanks, guns and bunkers in the jungle like that.

I was just checking out this thread and caught your question - back then I was on a High Endurance Cutter - we were typically gone 6-8 months a year at sea. 3 months out, 2-3 in, 3ish back out.
