Alternatives to a scarf

I need a good alternative to a scarf. When I am working outside nothing bugs the shit out of me more than the winds and snow going down my jacket, but a scarf seems too bulky and too much extra b/s.

You need a different jacket with a higher collar. I haven't used a scarf since I was maybe five years old. Well except on an overcoat godfather style.

Typically that is when I wear one. I have techwear for when I dont give a shit how I look but when you need to roll "c'est pro" then you need a wool trench and those typically dont have zips up to your nose.

Ive rocked a balaclava but they can fuck up your hair. I also have a neck gaiter which stops usually around the chin but can be pulled up to cover the lower half of the face.
