    Stephen King books

    Anybody here read Stephen King?

I used to be a huge fan, and read everything that came out for a good while. Then he started putting out so many, I kinda lost track. I think the last book of his I bought and read was Four Past Midnight. Can't find it here, but I did pick up my ancient copy of Night Shift tonight and read a couple short stories. Creeepy.

You guys that read King, what is your favorite book?

Christine was way more scarier in the book than that stupid movie...

(which I sadfully admit to buying on DVD for $9).
    Reminiscing...

people said the movie adaptation of "dreamcatcher" sucked. haven't seen it, but i thought the book was decent. the text version of "needful things" was pretty good too.

It did. I paid $8 just to see the CGI Matrix short before it.

The Green Mile is really good.

Not a part of the horror genre, though.

Amazingly good. If you like gun-toting westerns that kill a shit load of people in the first book ;)

Read Dreamcatcher and thought it was pretty good. The movie would be really stupid if you didn't read the book...

Most of my recent favs have been by Orson Scott Card and Terry Brooks. Anyone read any of their stuff that they would recommend?

PS: I've read almost every book by Brooks, so no help really needed there...

The Mist was cool. One of my most faves is the Langoliers. Read it before the cheesy tv movie was shown, but it was cool to see it too.
