One thing I love is random furniture, stuff thats different or a little weird/retro. Things like that Shell gas pump in a another thread.
So what have you got that you like, that others seem not to. Or thats a bit different!

A while ago some family friends called up (I was moving out of home) and asked if I wanted a couch they were about to take to the dump.
When I got there it was this.
A red/black leather chesterfield style high back couch. I was like OMFG
Plus it came with 2 matching chairs.
Its hard to see in the pic, but it starts off almost black, and washes out to red. Everyone hates it. I love it

The chairs needed a good clean.

I also have a coca-cola fridge. Awesome at partys

All that couch and chair needs is a good treatment of Leatherique and it will be pimptastic.

if your women isn't supportive of your car hobbies, then she must be kicked to the curb. All females i've tagged and been into cars to some degree. One had her own to work on. There where no downsides. Why settle for less. anyways . . .
now i'm considering building some furniture!!

Supporting your car hobby and supporting an engine block coffee table are two entirely different things.

Guess I'm not going to sell my comfort seats anymore. May just fab up some brackets and put a large piece of glass in between. Will update this thread with pics.

To each his own. I think that the car part furniture tends to appeal to the younger crowd. If it's done well I don't see any harm in it.

I wish I could find a flat in one of those old brick built factories with the high ceilings and huge windows. Then all this industrial style furniture would fit right in.

This is a bit over the edge though.

I love Late-50's/Early-60's mid-century-modern furnature myself. I was able to convince the wife that she 'likes' it too, so the living room is so appointed, if a bit toned-down from my original vision. I don't have any pics of the finished product, but here's a sample...

I've also got this set of goodies form the 1962 Seattle "Space Age World's Fair"

...now if I could just find a BMW 503 or 507 to go along with all this.
