I'm fortunate to have had girlfriends who are into cars. Or at least put up with my raving about them until they, too, have developed an interest.


BTW, it totally helps the cause when they get an expensive quote on an easy fix, and you end up DIY-ing it and saving the day (and the cash).

I agree with George. I don't want to talk shop with girls. Nor do I want my wife helping me work on my cars or my bikes. It's not a turn on. To me its annoying. The tools don't get put back in the right place. The 150 dollar ratchet is turned into a hammer. Extensions get turned into punches. Screwdrivers get turned into pry bar. The worst thing I have shown my wife is the 1/2 x 3/8 and 3/8 x 1/4 adapters.

My partner of 6 years is and has been fantastic in this respect. I have spent alot of time and money repairing and maintaining my car. She dose not like how much money I spend but accepts it, and try's to sound interested when I talk about it LOL. I can't ask for any thing more then that.

I feel like a lucky guy, to have a girl that is so tolerant of my motoring endevors.
