While I'm not sure if this was the best time to get it featured (one too many dents) to me it had all it needed to get some attention. Also remember it was the editor's choice to feature the car. I'd complain to him, not Nick. As if it were for him to say "No, I'll pass for a better day":

Car looks good to me man, didn't know some minor imperfections could set so many people off.

But then again, this is r3v
Thanks. This is also a 22 year old car with about 280K on it. It's not gonna be perfect.

In the stance world right now, alot of people are even looking for kinda beat up cars to stance. It adds character, you don't really have to care about the body (as much), and i guess it shows that the cars not just driven on weekend.

Truthfully, I really would like to start over though. Keep the wheels, sell the car, and buy another one and do it right. Perfect exterior, nice sound system, legit springs, etc. Maybe one day

    Maybe in the summer.

    For now, just this

So I'm pretty sure the kid I bought it from fucked it up trying to get it to run. I'm not sure how the timing got off though...

You guys are still way better than the Volvo forum. Thanks for all the feedback.

    And I still dont know,
WHAT DO YOU MEAN "MAKE IT LOOK GOOD"

If you knew how to take criticism, you wouldn't even respond to the haters.

That said, I love old Volvo's. And I don't mind stretch either, but get rid of the fucking steelies.

That has to be the lamest fucking trend in the whole "herrafrush" community.

We're better then a volvo forum? What do they say about it? And as by "nice". Maybe fix all the dents in it, flip the bumper around, paint the trim thats chipping, put a suspension back under it... I don't know if it's only me, but if a car is going to be a "feature" Maybe some more work should be put into it so it dont look like a $500 car.

I see an age thing getting thrown around in this thread too. I'm only 31 and been around cars all my life. And i know people are into different type of cars, but it just seems like a new trend to have a car that, well just looks like a $500 car that came off of a dealers back lot. Then toss a set of wheels on it and be done. i know funds can be limited, but it seems that there have been no post on if there are more plans to work on the car in the future?

good work. you have inspired the wraith of r3v, which is kind of like pissing off sean penn. no huge feat. who give a shit what a bunch of bmw drivers think of your $500 volvo. if you like it, rock it. on a side note, holy shit man, is there anything you can do to get the hood aligned properly?
