My first car was the Ferrari of minivans:
Mid-engine, rear-wheel drive with a supercharger
Yes it looked like some unholy love child of a Jelly Belly and a UFO, but you could fold the middle and back seats down in to a bed (came in handy on some of those HS dates...) and a moonroof the size of a Smart Car. Plus it would hold 8 people in comfort which led to some truly epic hotboxing sessions.

I bought my first car from my father in 1996. An 87 mecury Capri (Mclaren) 5.0 convertible, 5 speed. Had wicked bad electrical issues from a viper alarm- my dad traded it for a beatdown quahog rig because none of the guys mechanics wanted to deal with it. Well we fixed it, and I learned how to drive in it. Top down in the winter, sideways in the snow I was a retard, but I had alot of fun in it.
When it finally stopped running it sat, and rusted away until it was eventually junked. Sad because it was a pretty rare car.
I have some old polaroids of it somewhere.
but heres pretty much exactly what it looked like.

bought with a "bad trans" which would be like 1300 bucks. turned out the po was a tard and there was no clutch material left on the disc and the springs had cut grooves in the flywheel. SCORE.
cant get the pics of the damage since my dell notebook shit the bed and wont boot up any more.
after a lot of cleaning and some parts
spent ALOT of time under that car. glad i have a shop to work in now. props to all the dirt driveway mechanics out there been there done that.
day i bought it with some long hair back then
miss that car, but i seem to overlook the fact that i could drive it for a month and then spend another fixing it..."In God we trust. All others must bring data." -W. E. Deming
