Watkins Glen Tickets

I'm going to be my brother's best man and I'm planning on taking him and a few good friends to Watkins Glen for the Indycar race in September but don't know what a good place is for seating/camping. I'd prefer to be in the infield so we can hang out and party through the weekend but don't know which location is best. Anyone have suggestions?

If you know of any other good racing events going on that weekend, let me know. Location really isn't a big deal - although I'd prefer to stay within an overnight trip from the New England region. He's not really into racing as much as I am but he mentioned that he'd really like to go to an event for his bachelor party and I can't think of a better option than to get a whole bunch of his friends to meet us in the infield and camp out over the weekend - and party hard. His wedding date is October 1st so there'll be plenty of time to recover. Any suggestions?

If you know Watkins Glen, let me know what the best option is for camping in the infield in terms of watching the race and seeing cool stuff.

we usually camp on the inside of, well between 8 and 9 (on the left), but more towards 9.
its nice because it's a gradient which allows you to see them coming out of turn 8 and going into 9, and you can go under that tunnel marked on the map and watch from the inside, which have a GREAT view of many turns.


On the outside between 7 and 8 are usually a bunch of rv's with people partying. that'st the infamous pit. it's usually pretty loud there.
