I travel light. I dont see the need to carry a gun in the places i frequent. Besides I honestly dont trust my self control and see myself ending up in a cell taking it in the ass for life. and that would suck because i really hate jail cells

Good to have in places where it gets dark after 4pm in the winter. Also many many other situations. I keep one in my glove box.
