I used to sneak into this event every year for the first 6 years when I lived in the Coachella Valley.

Funny story, one time, I walked three miles from the Hospital down the street to the event, dressed in my "just got off work in ER as an EMT outfit", walked straight thru entry gates, told them I was working the Medic tent, the proceeded to smoke a blunt with the guys backstage after a Dirty Vegas live set. Epic night, with that, the White Stripes, and RHCP, IIRC, it was 2003.

Seriously. Kings of Leon is right up there with Nickleback for worst rock band.

I'll admit, they coulda picked a better headliner for the first night. But seeing The Strokes is one of my life goals, so I'm pretty satisfied with the rest. DFA1979 reuniting doesn't hurt, either.

Haha... nice. In 2009 I found my way in all three days... Friday- bum rush Saturday- used a old Friday ticket Sunday- got a security vest and walked in

Interesting numbers... Chemical Brothers have played 6/11 shows... since the first in 1999.
Nevertheless, I'm still stoked for this year.

I wish I heard it was epic. I'm going this year, doing a concert/ rock climbing trip. Concerts are way more fun when you seek in BTW. I did it all 3 nights for DMB at the Gorge last year.
