    Norcal to Socal

Has anyone here ever relocated from Northern California to Southern California (namely San Diego Area)?
I just got back from my offical visit to U.C.S.D on the behalf of an athletic team.
I really liked San Diego, but I'm wondering if there are specific things that you guys miss about Norcal, or things that you like more about Socal.
I'm pretty much deciding between San Diego and Berkeley at this point.

i went from socal to cencal (not quite what you're asking but i guess i can give you an idea?)

i liked getting away from the socal attitude and into a greener area. san diego is an awesome area, tons and tons to do. you wouldnt be disappointed. only thing that sucks moving long distances is getting all of your shit over there. other than that, enjoy the new area man. lifes short, live different places and experience different things.

Even though I like it better up North, I agree with moving just for the experience. Berkeley would just be more of what you're used to.

My friend moved from Sac to San Diego. He missed the quick drive to Tahoe to board. We have Big Bear not too far away and its been raining so theres snow but I don't think it is as nice as going to the Sierras. He gets mad when we bag on NorCal but he is done with school now and the guy is still here.

Yeah. I stayed with seven guys, and 3 other recruits in a condo by the boardwalk, in mission beach. Couldn't get enough of the sunshine and general atmosphere.
The campus is really nice too.

                ^ lol what?
Why so? I've spent just about every day of the last 13 years of my life in Oakland.

San Diego rocks. USCD is probably the most boring part of it too.

You might not lump San Diego in with SoCal. It's really it's own thing - it definitely has a different vibe than LA. It reminds me more of Florida actually.

SD just has a lot of d-bags that care way too much about what other people think of them. At least in LA, d-bags don't give a fuck what you think. I kinda prefer it that way.

The shittiest thing about San Diego is San Diegans.

How would you guys rate downtown San Diego?
It's a place that I have not seen yet.
-as a reference point, how would you guys compare it to San Francisco, as it's a town that I know very well.
