Yeah, what the hell is in the red car? A 302?

I'd say, find better backdrops. Less poles/wires/nonsense.

Yes sir! And thanks, I'll keep that in mind next time! Pretty obvious, but those are distractions I've never thought of.

CPL is a circular polarizer, it's a tinted piece of glass that goes on the lens and you can rotate it to take out reflections or make the sky darker. They are great to have.

Since circular polarizers are being discussed, here are a few shots that I used one. Note how dark the sky is.

Here are a few more shots without the polarizer. I did have a SKY 1 filter on however.

Nope, its crap in the lens. My wide angle lens doesn't leave dust spots. I can't see what is causing the spots on the big lens, but they are always there. I clean both ends every time it goes on the camera, but I still can't seem to remove the spots. What I should really do is buy a better lens because the one I have is about as cheap as I can get. No image stabilization, no anti-glare coatings, and lately its been having issues focusing accurately.

Look at it this way, it makes the pics look more vintage ;) Yes, the spots drive me crazy. The sensor self cleans every time the camera is turned on and off.

LOL Was going to say that

Lots of CPL here. I shoot almost exclusively with them. They do more than make the sky blue, they cut the glare out of frame or at least let you put it where you want it. But Stopping the scattered wave lengths of light you want it cuts cuts the glare out of the atmosphere making the sky appear darker, or see the windshield of a car or to the bottom of a creek ect.....

My CPL pretty much lives on my wide angle lens. I have one for my 70-300, but I don't use it often since I mainly shoot motion/action with that lens and its kinda hard to set the polarizer while panning the shot.

I love using a CPL in water. It allows one to see what lies below.
