I've got nothing. You're talking in circles.

But like i referred to a vette comparision. The vettes now are not real vettes now because the transmission is in the back instead of behind the engine. I was not questioning your automotive knowledge but i know what you where talking about. I love 911 base body cars (930's and 935k's) i just dont like the way they handle in a street car. All the weight over the back and only the fuel tank in the front and when you have a full tank and empty tank the car changes in the handling dept on you plus they have alot of over and understeer compared to most other cars. You have to have a really good feel and understanding for these cars on street and really on the track when driving them in race conditions.

The new z06 and the 944 turbos have the engine connected to the driveshaft connected to a rear transmission. I think he just took your comment a little out of context.

Thank you that is what i was shooting for. ;) And dont forget the 928s4 928gt and 928gts.

Didn't read any replies, but if it hasn't been said, parts prices are SKY HIGH.

And if you ever need the clutch replaced, I've read it's nearly a shop-only job with a price tag north of $2000 (parts and labor).

What? That doesn't even make sense. There are only 2 Porsches (body styles) that are front engine RWD. 1. The 944, and other of the same body style. 2. The Pamamera.

All other Porsches are rear engine rear drive.
Lets not forget this Porsche. It is front engine and rear wheel drive...

When I think of Porsche, the first thing that comes to mind is 930, a 901, a 356, 993. They are the iconic "Porsche". Mid/Rear engine, rear drive.

I'm not saying the the 924, the 944, the 928, the 968, or the Cayenne aren't great/fun/good looking cars. They just don't fulfill, TO ME, what a Porsche is.

    Get it?
I know exactly what you're saying. I think you're taking this about 10000% too seriously.

Like I said, they can be very nice looking cars, and I don't hate them. Shit, I was looking at one a month or so back to swap my Audi 3B into.
Okay, I'll stop having fun reminiscing about how great my car was.

I know a guy w/a Jag XJS. He swapped the V12 for a big block 454 on N02. Makes 2x the hp and is 100% more reliable. Auto-x's that shit too!

    They are a transaxle?

Weird. My bud has an 1978 Alfa Romeo alfetta with a transaxle. It takes forever for the tranny to warm up, so you have to baby it for short trips
