The cheyenne is a chevy pickup truck. It's cayenne. And there was the 924, 928, 944, 968, panamara, and cayenne that were front engine/rwd.
And BimmerTim, not all others are rear engine/rwd. I see you've forgotten the cararra GT, the boxter, the cayman, the 914, the 911 Turbo, the C4S, and likely a few others that are either mid engined or rear engine with awd.

Cheyenne, 928, and i think the number you were looking for is 924. 968 if you look past the part that it's a 944 s3 basicallyWhat? That doesn't even make sense. There are only 2 Porsches (body styles) that are front engine RWD. 1. The 944, and other of the same body style. 2. The Pamamera.
All other Porsches are rear engine rear drive.
How does a Corvette play into this in any way? Corvettes have always been front engine rear drive, and a Corvette is not a Porsche. So, please elaborate.Leave a comment:

money pits. Clutch job IIRC exceeds the value of the car in many cases in just partsLeave a comment:

Then you would have to say that about the corvette as well? Not pushing buttons. Both are still badass cars non the less. Weight distribution comes into play with these two cars, they have a great balance front engine and rear trans layout.;)Leave a comment:

If you're used to E30 maintenance costs just run-away. A clutch kit alone costs $500 and then you have to do the labor. If you're a DIY guy the car is harder to work on/projects take longer than you're used to. If you don't do the work yourself, then get ready to bleed money like you have ebola.Leave a comment:

All of the pictures you posted are 951s. You're looking at 9-10k for one that's not a $ pit.Leave a comment:

My buddy had an n/a one last summer and I drove it a few times. It seemed like it had no torque compared to my e30 but once ya got the revs up it moved along alright. He has an e36 m3 and an e30 now but he liked the 944 more.Leave a comment:

I'm going to have to throw some hate around in this thread too. I don't dislike how they look, because some of them look fantastic. However, I don't consider anything with an engine in the front a real Porsche.Leave a comment:

Love the Turbo's and 968's, but unless you want to be doing maintenance ALL THE TIME (and you do your own work to save the extra cash). Pass. Not worth the hassle. I miss mine though...

Was 2600lbs and just shy of 400whp on pump.Leave a comment:

944 Turbo only. I wouldn't touch a N/A 944. The turbos do have a bit of lag though, that can be remedied.
I'll kindly take a 911 any day.Leave a comment:
