You'd be AMAZED at the response you get from people just by getting a lawyer (or a law student) to call them to 'discuss' pending action.

Amazed, I say. All their BS goes right out the window. At least it does for a little while, until they realize you're bluffing. Should be enough time to get your shit dealt with.

I think he's just trying to get a rise out of me, which I won't let him do. He shot himself in the foot because I left some tools and stuff there that I don't need cuz I have duplicates. God knows they're coming back with me now. This dude has 10 cars sitting outside the shop unguarded or locked up as well, In half an hour I could take stuff with value to match anything he sells/moves or whatever.

The way that I read it he locked this guy out right before the OP was supposed to get his pay check. But maybe I didn't read it right.

The date you were paid up until? Was this a month to month lease or a year lease?

If you had a lease agreement of some kind, and paid rent to a certain date which is now past, and you haven't cleaned up your stuff because of the snow......you might be screwed.

I think you should get over there as soon as possible.

He was locked out of the garage while he still was in good standing on the rent/lease/agreement. He couldn't get in to move his shit out before the time he was over what he paid for. Mr. Douche then wouldn't work with him to get his shit out after he had denied OP access to his property and the space he had already paid to use.
