why are they 'lame'? just because you can't haul a gooseneck with 3 cars on it? who gives a fuck?
diesels are loud, drive like shit, weigh 10 million pounds, and diesel fuel costs more than premium. unless you tow a lot or are a douchebag flatbiller, a diesel is overkill.______________________

manic: a good used 02-06 Half ton is direction I would be looking for. (you know me I am diesel guy)
the midsize v6's are not that much better on fuel than a full size with a v8. Belive me I have had upteen s10's and a POS top of the line Colorado (04 brand new) You dont want a Colorado/Canyon no matter the trim or options list TRUST ME. I have pulled e30's and Fbodys with it, it not an experience I want to repeat, get some thing with a rated capacity of well over what you plan on towing, especially if you have not towed much
Really a good half ton of your preferred brand (I would say GM ) you get a ton more capability the same or better fuel mileage (even with a v8) and more interior room and normally more comfortable ride.
All that said, you ever Consider and Full size SUV like a tahoe/Yukon???? All the same capabilities (other than the open bed) with more water tight cargo space. If you need the open bed the Avalanche is a surprisingly good truck as wellThe American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money. -Alexis de TocquevilleOriginally posted by FusionIf a car is the epitome of freedom, than an electric car is house arrest with your wife titty fucking your next door neighbor.

Avalanche are still too pricey on the used market. A suburban is really a larger rig than I would need or.want.
Really a mid-sized, 4x4 SUV would be the size I'd need. Covered/secure cargo area big enough fot a set of drums, trio to Lowes or the salvage. Towing would happen incredibly rarely, and I've got other buddies with full-size v8 trucks.
Really towing is such a small consideration as to basically be a non-factor. As thr next E30 is going to be a dusk purpose car, and not track only.
Really a nice Forerunner or Grand Cherokee seems as it would be the best fit for what I need. I know the Forerunners are pretty solid, but not sure about the GCs in my price range.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

i agree with this one. can offroad like a beast. my buddy had one with coilovers agressive tires, and a K&n with deluxe exhaust. He sold his for 10500. you can deffinantly tow with it but not boats etc. youd be good with waverunners, trailers, motorcylces, and what not. and it has a locking differential which is great for offroading.Comment
