We aren't exactly a very friendly bunch, on the whole. I mean honestly. If they're intelligent they'd probably study us, categorize, and leave..

I constantly think that could be the truth and hope that it is. It would be the shit if we were big man on campus. Anyone ever read the book, "An Introduction to Planetary Defense: A Study of Modern Warfare Applied to Extra-Terrestrial Invasion" I thought it was pretty logical and well thought out, and offered a counter to the Sagan train of thought on what to do if we encounter another space-faring race.
