Never saw any of them in the theater. I've watched the first one, but was bored by it, so I never saw the others. That genre just doesn't appeal to me.

Same, I'm not into the big epic fantasy movies, but I loved the books as a kid, and they were pretty visually amazing.

I watched it in cinemas with my brother and my dad, each one on it's release night, the worse part was knowing we'd have to wait a whole year to see the next one! I hadn't read the books before so it was a 3 year story. So awesome.

To make sure he didn't like it, cause you never know until you give it a second chance.

LOTR drinking game sounds fun and not to many rules, hate to many rules. M*A*S*H drinking game is awsome, rule one: drink when someone says a rank. /end Great because you can't fuck up no matter how drunk you are.
a light will shine down from somewhere, it will light upon you, you will experience an epiphany, and you will say to yourself, "I have to r3v."

Went to Return of the King Midnight showing. It was the short version but I was dead tired by the time I thought it was over. That extra 45 minutes of celebration with the hobbits in bed made the movie drag.

Nah he loved the books as a kid, so he went to go see them in the theatre. But normally he isn't into the epic fantasy movies.

For theaters - the trick is to not drink anything before going..

I had a sore arse by the end of the first one. It was LOTR mania here, so you couldn't really get away with not going.

It was more of an ironic "small arse country, pretty much everyone was in it" :D

i seen all 3 in theatres 2 twice and i read the hobbit and the three books when i was 11/12

extended editions are better than the theatrical release but they still dont beat the books

I just finished watching it. Had to do it in stages. ADD is too powerful.
