    gtx 460 1 gb vs gtx 470

    Both Fermi revs.

Will I notice a difference between the two in performance in Crysis 2.

PC now is a Quad core AMD with 4 gb of ram and a 8800 GT OC'd.

Yes, but get a 570 as heat can be a serious issue with the early Fermi cards. If you have a mid-full tower case and adequate cooling, I didn't have nearly as many issues when I ran Sli 480 SC's.

Your 8800 will be a bit of a "bottle neck" but honestly, unless you're benchmarking, you'll see almost no difference.

The 460 performs well. The 470 performs a bit better and is less prone to problems.

Fuck nvidia, I use to own a 6800gt and I loved that thing, I paid 300 for it back in the day. I have a ati 4850 1 gig right now with a quad amd and 2 gigs of ram, this bitch is plenty for any game out right now. I do need a new graphics card soon tho...

Just realized how fucking stupid this post was..

460 768mb is the old card, the 1 gig cards don't have many problems. If you're going with the 460, get the EVGA superclocked one, though you're better off going with a 560ti now.

If you're considering ATI, go with the 6950, it can be flashed into a 6970 (most of the time)

Probably won't notice any difference. I've been looking at building a new PC, been eyeballing the new 560Ti series card that MSI just released. It has more cores than the 570 card and uses less power from what I read. It can be had for $250 from newegg.com.

It all boils down to how much you're willing to drop on a new card. I'd check some online reviews and benchmarks if I were you.
