    jet kart anyone???

For year 3 in metal shop in high school 2 years ago me and my team made go-karts and a friend of mine used the same frame and basically build a jet kart. Using a semi turbo as the jet and a lot of custom metal work to build it.
for those who are interested here is the video from yesterday, it was the first time it rolled, but there are no brakes yet. It was just a test to see if the thrust will roll the kart. Cant wait until the after burner is built and added it will be even more insane!!

Fucking sweet. It might be a good idea to build some sort of containment shield around the compressor on that thing, does he have any kind of tachometer to tell him how fast it's turning?

cant really see the gauges from this pic well but there is boost, oil temp, oil pressure, volts, and i forgot the last one. Its funny looking back at the frame seeing my tig welds from a few years ago and how I really have improved from then ha

That's pretty fucking cool man, makes me wanna try it. What fuel does it run on?

I'm guessing that turbo can proly handle 150k rpms at least but if it were to grenade it would fucking kill somebody, some sort of blast shield wouldn't be a bad idea IMO.
