im just bummed i couldnt get/afford a hotel next to the show. chilling at the pool listening to good ass music all day? yes please

but our hotel is at the airport, which apparently is only 6 miles from bicentennial park, AND theres a shuttle down there thats free for guests.

bad news is, for some reason, that shuttle only drops you off, not picks you up, so we're gonna have to figure out something to get our drunkard asses back haha

How many of you guys is it? Depending on where and what im doing on that night i might be able to take you back to the airport. Why didnt you book a hotel in downtown?

And they are adding a addition to the metrorail that will connect you from the beach/downtown all the way to the airport too bad its not done yet. I wouldnt mind grabbing a beer with you guys and showing you guys around on my day off. telling the spots to hit, good resteraunts etc. Let me know.

its just me and my buddy atm, maybe one more, im not sure yet, were planning on leaving NY Wed night and getting there Thurs night. We wanted to grab a hotel downtown closer to the festival, but all of them were either booked, or like 500 a night! were crashing at the days inn on northwest 11th street from Thurs to Mon for around 500 bux, so its not too bad. were planning on taking the shuttle down to bicentennial park each day of the fesitval. unless you know of any hotels closer/around the same price?

thatd be sick tho man id be down meet up and grab a drink or two. haha chances are ill prob be smashed from friday to sunday tho haha :drink:

oh, and just found out FUCKING BT IS PLAYING!! him and Fatboy are my two biggest idols/inspirations, im SO FUCKING STOKED i literally ran around my apt yelling in joy haha

If i was you guys id check the vacation rentals section of craigslist. You prob can get a place for the whole week for $700 on the beach. Its worth a try at least.

I went to UMF last year with VIPs.. you couldn't pay me to go in there with GA's this year.. it's getting way too popular for Bicentennial park as the venue. I was living in PA last year finishing school.. Now that I am here, it just doesn't seem worth the cost.

Next year I will get early bird VIPs but this year I am going to watch from my balcony with my telescope :) I live on the 30th floor next to the building that they have been projecting the UMF laser logo on to for the past few years and my view faces bicentennial.

Hope you guys that are going have fun. Whoever has VIPs.. you'll definitely like it. Just make sure that if you wanna watch the closing act on the main stage each night you get your ass up to the 2nd story deck of the double decker an hour and a half or more before the act comes on (9:30). Same thing goes for the reserved area in front of the main stage.. it will be full around 10:30 each night.

As much as I like being with my electro fam.. I just don't feel like getting knocked on my ass in the GA crowd and pushed all over the damn place all night. I'm sticking to WMC and the spring break pool parties this year. :D

If you are really strapped for cash you can check in to the Miami Sun Hotel. It's a giant piece of crumbly plaster and smells like a cleaning maids ass but it's cheap as anything if you aren't going to do anything but sleep for a few hours a day and store your shit somewhere.

And yeah, I can't wait for that metro rail extensions to be done either.. August or something, right? Much easier than driving to pick up friends from MIA all the time.

i think i looked into that hotel (and saw all the bad reviews about it haha) and it was booked as well.

i live in Buffalo atm, im moving to Phoenix in about 3 months here and CANT FUCKING WAIT. im from rochester originally tho, i just go to school in buffalo (UB). dubstep is pretty popular up here, but im more into the house scene. Im a DJ too, so im always floating around here and there at house parties/bars/clubs mixing etc

what is this "double decker" you mentioned? got any other tips for the concert? me and my bud are prob gonna wake up everyday, start drinking, and then go. they have open container laws in the park? im assuming alcohol is prob going to mad expensive

itd be sick to sneak into a hotel during the day and just chill in the pool for a while, but security is prob going to be beefed up

Hotel pool side parties are easy to get into. Slip the door guy a $5 or $10 and your in. Not to mention there is tons of free poolside parties any which way. I think beatports this year is free.

Ultra will not allow you to bring any containers with liquid into the concert so drink whatever you need to, before you go in!
