I'll let it go and just say, Sorry Turf. You're not a douchey-bitch. But, you sure can act like one sometimes. Fair?
I'm going to chock this up to my dry, methodical writing style in addition to this being a very sensitive and personal subject for most. I'm not trying to act like I'm above anything. In fact, I've been in worse shape than most. I'm in no place to pass judgement. However, I stand by what I've said as well as the way that I've said it. If this rubs some people the wrong way fine - not everyone is going to like me. I can live with that. I've revised my posts and have not insulted anyone or even said anything remotely personal. The minute I begin name calling I'll apologize - but in the meantime I accept your apology.

i grew up in a household of debt and have seen its crippling hold. I am seriously anti debt. If you can at all live without being a slave to your lender you will know what it is like to be free. Make money , buy shit. YOUR shit.

I have been in that hole before. (a few bad work years with long layoffs back to back) I have gotten dug outta that hole other than my truck loan. You have NO idea the weight that is off your shoulders once that debt is gone. and you can see your bank account GROW rather than just stay where it is.

In the last 16 months I have paid off 36k in debts, and rebuilt my savings to a point where I can live with NO change in life style with NO INCOME AT ALL for 10-12 months. Its not an easy thing to do, it takes a ton of sacrifice and a fuck load of work, but once you are not pay check to pay check anymore just scraping by, you really do have a new sense of reality.

Bingo. I realize it'll happen. Just a matter of time. As Turf eloquently put it, being in debt and having to supplement your income due to hard times are two different things.
