If a guy ever broke up with me in a public place, I'd be so mad. Especially someone I'd been dating for 4 years. Good for you I guess, sounds like you got out of something you weren't happy with, but you're a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles for doing it in public so she couldn't make a scene or whatever your reasoning was.

Unless your dating a semi-psycho. Every situation is different, when you break up with someone you simply need to give them the ability to hate you and have closure in that fact, or you need to be civil/friends (though that never works).

There's no really nice way of breaking up and this was the first thing that came to mind really. We did drive separate cars. Ride home consisted of me blasting Lap Dance by N.E.R.D. and going about 80 the whole way.
