Well my 9 month relationship just ended on mutual terms. I guess I was lucky with that; not too much drama. But we each had the respect for eachother to talk about it and come to a decision. I guess if you really don't give a fuck, a flat out clean break works. But if I'm with someone, they're not only my bf but they're my friend and I expect to be treated as such.

What I am getting at is being friends with your ex does not mean you have to have anything else in there(sexual). Just means you enjoy being with them. Plus she is a HUGE gear head, so working on cars is what we do =)

BUT, some of my other EXs could fall of the edge of a cliff for all I care.

And @ the OP you were smart about it if you knew she was going to start in. I think if you discuss the break up then it never goes as planned and bad things that hurt could be said. So props on being nice and buying her dinner at a nice place.
