Will not be playing video games while driving down the highway.

Why even use your phone at all while driving?

Put in the blue tooth set and go.10 and 2.

I meant good ones for restaurants/attractions that kind of thing. Nearest gas station on the highway, stuff like that, the Mazda gets terrible gas mileage when out on the expressway.

Seriously all you need anymore as long as you are on 2.1+. The new Google maps is insane. You can turn on Layers while navigating. I rock a car mount for my Evo 4g and use it as my primary GPS (actually ebay'ed my Garmin) and its even better now that it will cache route information so even if you are in BFE Alabama you can still search for shit along the route like gas stations and food.

I also use it to play music somtimes too. Pandora will play nice with the navigation too.

Google has good kit. The map with layers and traffic information. It all works so seamlessly. I feel bad for those iPhone users. EVO 4G FTW.

aaaannnndddddd Google just added realtime rerouting to maps. Before if you got in a jam you had to initiate maps to search for faster routes. Now it does that along the route.

That whisting sound you hear is the value of Garmin's consumer products division plummeting. Kind of sad as its a Kansas company but our Google overlords will it.

Foursquare is particularly useful. It will give you tips of nearby places (food, recreation, bars, etc.) and you can log every spot you end up at. Fun to look at when you return from vacation.
                            tasty

Google Maps, Google Street View, My Tracks, Yelp, Urban Spoon, Trapster, AAA Roadside, AAA Discounts, Carr Matey. All live on my home page when I'm on road trips.

                              Oops, I forgot, PBRmeASAP.
