Cars you regret not getting when you had the chance

Before I was looking into E30s, I was looking at Porsche 931 turbos in like September of last year. I was 16 at the time and looking at a Porsche turbo for a daily....
But I found a super clean one with 51k miles for $1900 and fuchs wheels that needed the trans replaced...what a fucking sweet car it was though. I get a little too insane when my E30 breaks currently, so I couldn't imagine owning it. I always wondered what if though.

    What about you guys?

Well I didn't really have the chance, as I was broke, but in high school I could have picked up 2 running, driving, decently clean Deloreans for 4k apiece, had an opportunity for a clean 78 Esprit at 4k and a clean Europa for 5k.

Passed up an MT2 vert with an auto and bought an M10 car instead because it was stick. First E30 of course and I figured auto and vert were two things I didn't need. Reading too much Performance BMW led me to believe that MT2 was a sort of uncommon thing, boy how wrong I was on that.

        I passed on a 1970 Barracuda, needed a trans, new paint, and seats, $4900. I had the money, instead bought a 1998 328is :(

I just passed up a 325i touring. I wish I would have bought it but something just seemed off on it like the cluster had been swapped. Was in km/h but the rest of the cluster was the us cluster which was weird.

I deeply regret not buying an Ariel Atom, instead of a brand new E46 M3.

I passed up a 1984 Porsche Slantnose for 15k. I tried to sell my 635 and two e30s but I did not get any buyers fast enough. The reason the guy was selling so cheap was his dealership was going under and he was trying to sell off the lot before he was stuck with a bunch of debt.

I will never see a deal like that again

Looked like that one but stock rims.

Didn't buy this rust free '86 325e that a friends neighbour had parked in his driveway. 100% rust free, drove fine, guy wanted a grand, didn't have anywhere to park the car for a month while I went on vacation. Wrecked my car two weeks after I got back, and that one was gone. Failboat.

I passed up a mint E30 M3 for 5k with a blown motor about 6 years ago. Dammit.

That is a toss up between an Evo9 and that for my next car.

There were tons of cars I wanted back in the day that were cheap, I remember looking at Ford RS200 ads in the back of Autoweek for 5k and other really neat cars cheap. Really kick myself in the ass for not picking one of those up. At the same time a neighbor up the street had an R5 turbo for about the same price.

                              In 1972 I was offered a 1966 Shelby GT350 for $1800.
The car had less than 50k miles. The seller was the original owner.
I didn't buy it because I had two Barracuda projects in the works.
Someone please kick me squarely in the arse.

                              It was identical to this:

                              1991 325ic and 1991 318is
