    Turn on the news

8.9 quake and tsunami in Japan. If you turned it on early enough you saw live coverage of helicopters following it. Nature is flexing its muscles again.

Terrible stuff, my thoughts are with all those unknowingly caught in the wrath.

Just watched a clip that someone took in their office building during the quake, they were holding shelves and file cabinets up as best they could as the chaos occurred.

A man holding some shelving up was standing next to a guy frozen in his chair still sitting as everything around him was literally falling. The guy standing pointed to the other mans laptop at his desk and quickly uttered something. The guy sitting frantically began using the computer, probably to find out what the fuck was going on.

The helicopter footage is showing it gulping up cars on the road as these people are trying to drive away from it! wow :(

I'm just blown away by the thought of an 8.9 magnitude quake. I've been in the middle of a 7.3 and that was crazy... but 8.9 is nucking futs.

Japanese nuclear plants are setup to shutdown automatically in case of an earthquake. Same with their bullet trains. It sounds like they had about 15 minutes between the quake and the tsunami.

Biggest quake to hit Japan in 300 years. There are tsunami warnings all over the pacific including Hawaii.

Luckily they're at least moderately prepared for this sort of thing... if it had hit in a 3rd world country, there'd be a lot more dead.

I am not into all of this, but apparently now the "end of the world" bullshit changed to March 21st, 2011. This is exactly why I do not believe in any of it, they're never right, you can never tell when it'll happen.

On topic, I feel sorry for all the people in Japan, and going to feel sorry for everyone on the west coast, supposedly you guys are having a Tsunami & quake warning or something.
