    Any Bass players?

If so what kind of music do you like to play? What bass do you play? What amp/stack or pedals do you use?

I like alternative and lots of Red Hot Chili Peppers
I play a Flea bass with a Peavy TNT 115 (160watt) and a small 30 watt silvertone in crossover.

Funny you ask, because I tried learning that when I started, it has been about 8 months now. I'll have to give it a go again, its not terribly hard if I remember correctly. Don't have any distortions though. I'll give it a go.

Been playing around 25 years now. Mostly fretless these days.

I've had tons over the years: everything from Fenders to Steinbergers and full customs. I think I'm down to 8 or 9 basses at the moment.

My main bass for years has been a vintage '72 Fender Jazz with ash body and maple neck with pearl blocks. I also get lots of mileage out of my Pedulla Buzz fretless.

Lots of different stuff: mostly SWR and Eden in the past. These days, I swear by my Phil Jones Bass Suitcase combo plus 4B extension cabinet. It's my mini-rig of doom

I'm mostly into jazz stuff. Huge fan of Richard Bona, Avishai Cohen, Jaco Pastorius, and Ron Carter. I also still have a real soft spot for Tony Levin, Pino Palladino, and Bakithi Kumalo. Can you tell I grew up in the '80s? lol.

I have a 1978 Peavy T-40 bass and I play out of a either a SWR Working Man's 15 combo or a 1972 Fender Rhodes keyboard amp. For big shows I'll run them both together.

                  As of right now
                  Basses:
Hohner 5 string strung up like a 6 string minus the B. This makes it easier for cords, harmonics, and soloing.
Fender J-bass. Keeping to the roots!

                  Amps
SWR Bass 350. This will never leave my stash!

                  Cabs
Working man SWR 2X10 and 1X15. If i were gigging like I use to, id go with a Goliath III.

I have a full recording studio so effects are endless.

                  What im listening to:
Bela Fleck and the flectones, VICTOR WOOTEN!!!
                  Rush, Geddy Lee
                  Weather Report, Jaco

I listen to a whole bunch of music and pull ideas from everywhere.

My first "real" bass amp was a TNT115. DAMN that this was a beast. Not enough clarity for my style but can warm a room. Casters helped out umteen percent while traveling! I did like the parametric eq though.

Been playing for...awhile. Still do some semi-pro local gigs, mainly in theater pits.

Do you really want me to list ALL my gear?

playing bass is easy, its just keeping the rhythem going. i play lead guitar, and sometimes switch over to bass just for the fun of it. i play a schecter diamond series 5 string.

I play bass, not terribly good at it though haha. Just jam with friends mostly. I'd love to get something together though.

I need a new bass! The crappy one I have is falling apart haha. I'd really like a fender p-bass.

The Squier Vintage Modified P-Bass is tough to beat for the price.

yes I could feel the clarity issue with the new bass, that's why I run a crossover to a small amp for the highs. makes it sound real clean. works great for the money
