I am starting to play now. Mostly play classic rock, psychadelic rock, indy, blues.... Rock in general.

      I bought one of these:

Les paul special bass in trans red finish, Pretty good bass for its price, has a great tone.

Modulus SweetSpot 5, translucent blue over quilted maple. old-school: pickguard ruins it :(
Hamer Chaparral XT 12-string (yes, it's Korean. and in dire need of electronics transplant)

          The Rig:

          Rack 1:
          Korg tuner
          Alembic F-1X preamp (clean)
          SWR Interstellar Overdrive (dirt)
          Mesa/Boogie Bass 400+ (ungodly power)

          Rack 2:
          Trace Elliot Quatra Valve

          Speakers:
          Eden D-410XLT
          Eden D-210XST

          Combo:
          Nemesis 210

          Pedals:
          Korg Pitchblack tuner
Fulltone Bass-Drive Mosfet (dirt w/ Trace & combo)
          Trace Elliot TAC-1 compressor

That's all I can think of for now.

Yeah I'm probably going to go with a Squier. I really can't justify dropping so much cash on a legit Fender.
