Cranks, ring gear, rear derailuer, chain, grips, tire, 4 tubes, and pedals. No, the wife does not understand. I've learned that if I plan on getting tricky and not riding just for distance to stay close to the house. I've walked so damn far in my clip-in shoes. Two days in a row from the same place for the same stunt. It was so weird like deja-vu.

Trial bikes, are they like special built or something the gen. public can buy? I'd love some info on the bikes themselves.

To the best of my knowledge, there isn't anything super special about them. They are no suspension, typically disk brakes, single speed, and a really really low seatpost and low seat. They also tend to be pretty short wheelbase. I don't know if the rims are special, but they use tubeless tires to avoid pinch flats, and usually run lower than normal tire pressures. The ratchets in the rear hub are also a lot tighter (more rapid clicking noise in the videos) so that they can 'ratchet' pedal off of obstacles without losing much crank rotation. But you can kind of do it with any bike, usually with fatter tires and just drop the seat down all the way. If you have v-brakes, good pads will help a lot for the wheelie stuff. I don't know if any of the frames are bespoke.Comment

The frame geo and size is way different. Even ride a dirt jumping bike and you'll feel it.To the best of my knowledge, there isn't anything super special about them.
