Not this trip, we're only in Nashville til Monday, then we are headed home. But we are wanting to hit farther east soon, but that will have to be a 10+ day trip, not just a long weekend.

Yeah, its the sauces that typically set places apart (even though I an a Kansas Yankee and used to dry-rub beef).

There was a place that was supposed to have bad ass midwestern BBQ according to Yelp but I guess it got raided because they were supplementing their income by dealing coke.

If its pulled pork you are after its my fav thing on Corky's menu but it sounds like you are after the Carolina BBQ, that is the more vinegar sauce IMHO.
I believe we have Corkys here too...
Do you guys have Jim and Nicks? Probably the best BBQ I've ever had. We have some super local dive joints around here that are good too. Ive had ATL BBQ, it was good. Fuck BBQ is so easy to get right if you just cook it long enough and keep it wet.

Yeah, so I fired up the E30 for the first time in 5 months. Think its burning coolant. Anyone want to do an S50 head gasket for me? Although, it wasnt an unmistakable smell coming from the exhaust so something could have just died in there in the winter and I just need to cook it out.

Dreamland is a chain here, while good, it is still a chain. For true "Atlanta" BBQ, Harold's is the place.

Whiskey kitchen is cool. Better suited for night time drinks. Go next door to Virago too. Uber modern.

We've already decided we will be going back to Memphis soon, since all we did was stop and eat.

Oh, and the Hutton hotel is much too nice for a rednecked hillbilly like myself!
Does this mean we're going out tonight? Hit my email up man for fucks sake!

Oh and Memphis BBQ is different than other BBQ. Its more of a dry rub style IIRC. Vinegar style on the west coast and Texas. And then Apple juice infused on the east coast in the Carolinas. Correct me if Im wrong guys..

We have amazing BBQ in Nashville. I'll take you somewhere!

Actually Buddy, dont go to Memfrica at all. Just go straight to Graceland 2 and go home. Memphis sucks.
Graceland 2.. In my hometown of Holly Springs. That guy is nuts. Stoned Ole Miss students wake that guy up in the middle of the night
    to tour his house.
