Vista is decent. 7 is the way to go. It still has some backwards compatibility issues but as long as you have a decent machine and max RAM, it'll be a pleasure to use in comparison.

I could post a screenshot but microsoft would probably try and hunt me down. Basically Windows 8 is just a copy and paste version of Win7, which is a copy and pasted version of Vista (with some improvements)

I hated Vista, I went back to XP on all my computers.
I tried 7 as soon as it came out, and have been using it since. Great OS.

Was running 7 on my main rig till the motherboard fried.
I have been running ubuntu on an old piece of shit since and
it's been a few months now... Its great as long as you don't need
a windows environement for things like games and modeling software.

That's weird, from everything I read windows 8 is supposed to be more like a cloud based os. It isn't supposed to really look or feel like win 7.

Went from xp to 64 bit 7.

It sucked, now running 32 bit xp for gaming and ubuntu for everyday use.

7 runs phenomenal with 4gb of ram or more. Anything less and it kind of sucks.

My friend and I got windows 7 running on an old p4 a while ago and it still runs pretty damn well. 2.8ghz of fury lol.
