anyone with experience with m60 e34s?

A friend and myself stumbled upon a 1994 530i sitting on a farm and decided to speak with the owners about the car. It's a 94 with 115,000 miles, 4 door obviously, automatic trans, black exterior, black leather interior, 15x7 bbs "style 5" wheels I think. It has been sitting for about two years says the owner but interior is super clean and exterior needs a good wash/wax to be nice. The owner tells us that one morning he jumped in it to drive to work and it hasn't drove since, he thinks it might be a cam sensor because he replaced one once before after a similar issue. He says he has 3 other cars to drive so he doesn't worry about fixing it. Do any of you have any ideas as to what the issue could be, like what are common issues with these engines? Also he's asking 2,500$.

    thanks

m60b30 is not worth a damn, especially with auto for that price. people yank that pos out and put m60b40 in it's place (same bell housing etc),

m60b30/m60b40 common issues = crappy radiators, vacuum leaks, and valley cover (under the intake manifold), oil pump bolts. also these were also recalled back in the day and replaced with alusil engines since the nikasil engines were failing and loosing compression.

I would not pay more than scrap value for that opportunity to suffer.

Yep, unless the body and interior is MINT I would pass.... B30 + Auto = Epic Fail.

maybe worth a grand only if the major rebuild was done with the original recall.
