    GM Ride and Drive

So I got to drive a Volt, SS Camaro, and CTS coupe the other day at a GM ride and drive at Kettering (my college).

The Volt was impressive in that it actually had a decent amount of torque, and was pretty silent running on only the batteries.

The Camaro was a total tank compared to the e30. Couldn't see out if it barely and you really could feel all of its 3800lbs. It also didn't seem as fast as it should have been. Perhaps it was just a perception thing but I was really expecting more of a neck snap out of it. I didnt get to take it much past 60, seeing as it was city roads we were on, so that could be a factor.

The CTS was actually my favorite of the three, even being an auto, it was fast refined, and had a great interior. I really want a CTS-V wagon lol.

So anyway, no real point just a "cool story bro"

That is actually pretty cool, I am not a GM fan but the cts is pretty cool, especially the v's. The camaro is pretty shittily put together in my opinion.

I saw Transformers before I saw the Camaro in real life. Now it is forever just a cheeky toy car to me.

I could do very well with a CTS-V though.. it actually looks expensive, like it's worth something (maybe in a couple years, I'll pick one up at 60% off MSRP)

Yes the camaro is a pig, fun in a straight line kinda way but still a pig

the CTS-V is on a very short list of 4 door cars I would ever consider owning. (in fact GM has made that list twice with the G8-GXP)

I was really surprised at how nice the Volt was though. I wouldn't mind picking up one in 10 years for a DD, and swapping in some aftermarket batteries and motors.
