E30 owners aren't a whole lot better honestly, read some of the kill threads on here. People racing brand new $50k BMW's in their stock 20 year old cars trying to prove something. I admit I do it too, but nobody has a soapbox to stand on.

My girlfriend and I got caught up in the same mess of ricers that the OP is talking about on I95 in NJ.

It wasn't stop and go at that point when I hit them, people were cruising along between 65-75 mph and a whole mess of douche-tastic spray painted hondas decides to weave through the traffic at around 85-90 mph.

It honestly looked much like the idiocy that occurs directly before someone misjudges their passing distance and ends up either spun out or flipped over.

Maybe I'm getting old, but this shit just doesn't amuse me any more, was really hoping for a trooper to be sitting behind the exit 9 off ramp (one of the more common hiding spots for the cops) to nail the bunch of them for the shenanigans but no luck.

Haha I'm glad I wasn't the only one. The ricer turnout was insane. At one point there was a "team" of them that all drove on the shoulder with their hazards on when traffic was at a standstill, at 90+mph!
I'm not old at all, and certainly I could have my dumbass teenager moments, but fuck I've never seen such stupidity and weaving in and out of traffic disregarding so much care.

Most of the Honda guys that I've seen around here are alright. Honestly, as mentioned earlier, E46 M3 and (non-M too..) guys are more likely to drive like ass hats.

All I know with my experience with E46/E92 M3 owners is that they don't acknowledge E30's at all hahaha. E36 M3 guys are pretty cool, lots of thumb's up exchanged between them.

AARE YOU KIDDING ME? I acknowledge every e30 I see! Whether its some 60 year old lady or a young college kid. I love seeing people rocking e30's.

Honestly, people usually just shake their head and let the ricer go on weaving through traffic and doing dumb shit. Really nothing more you can do, and if you show any outward sign of disapproval it only makes things worse.

Eventually though with enough behavior like that odds take over and someone is going to cause an accident...its at that point that the people involved in the accident and those who are bystanders begin to care.

If you got hit by one of these cars on I95 on your way home from a nice afternoon with some relatives (like I was), would you care?

What is it to you? I just laugh or have some fun with it. Although, I can't remember a single time anyone has ever tried to race me in the e30.... even when it was dumped with a nos bottle tied to it.
