    CA Clean Driving Record. "?"

How exactly do you know if you have a clean driving record without going through the DMV in any applicable way?

I have never been pulled over what so ever since I got my license at 16.

Does that mean I have a clean driving record?

    Thanks.
WTB E30. Right now $1500+ Vert or 4 door only.

If you have also not been in any reported accidents as well then yes your record would be clean.

While on the subject, how do drivers' points get transferred when re-liscencing in another state, or do they not transfer?
I moved to NY from Ohio in october and waited till just recently to switch my liscence. I asked the lady at the desk if my 12 pts on my ohio record transfer over to ny in any way.
She looked at me like I had four heads and just said she didnt know

Well I'm pretty sure some states use points systems and some don't. Washington definitely doesn't...So with that in mind I'm going to go out on a limb and say that your points or demerits from another state don't transfer at all. It's just like if you get a speeding ticket in another state it doesn't affect your record in the state your license is from. Welcome to your new clean driving record! :D

Im pretty sure this "clean" driving record in California that you speak of is a myth.

Everyone's correct. If you haven't been pulled over, or in an accident then you have a clean record.

On the topic of points transfering. The points don't physically transfer to the state's dmv, however, they do transfer to the insurance company when you switch.

I have a clean CA record.
I've been pulled over twice (Apr 09', Jul 10').
Ironically by the same cop, for the same 40 mph in a 25 zone.
He gave me the same 'infraction' both times, where I got 15 hrs or community service both times.
Same Juvenile court judge both times.
Insurance was never notified of anything.

what the other guy said, they dont transfer...BUT!

when you get insurance they ask about other states you were licensed in, then they look it up...IF they can find then it counts against you.

i moved from CA to MD last year. i got 1 ticket for blowing a redlight.
my motorcycle insurer didn't catch it in my record, guess they didnt check. my car insurance however, did...and it sucked.
