    It's a Salvator water monitor, about second in size to a Komodo. Great guess on the weight, he was shy of 80 pounds and 7.5 feet in length.

      Awesome, I was going to post up my little guy in the pet thread, but here's Wilson:



      A friend had him for the past couple years but recently got a dog and they didn't get along too well. I started taking care of Wilson and shortly after took him in permanently. They are really cool little animals. Very fun.

        How much room does he have to run? It looks like he's got a lot of space.

        I like the fact that they have their own personality. Little animal, big personality.

        Steve
        Oscar

        Nothing set in stone. Unnamed chinchilla took a ride in the E30 this morning on his way to the vet, he broke out of his cage and actually sat on the dash for the whole trip. I wish I had a camera.

          It's maybe five-six square feet set up in an octagon. I'm going to see if I can track down another and hook them together that way he will have double the room to run and jump when I take him out. They definitely do have quite the personality.
