    Credit Report?

I'm looking into getting a credit report just to see where I'm at. I haven't found out what my credit score is in a few years and have been carrying a debt on a credit card. Just want to be sure everything is kosher. Where is a good place to get one? Signing up to some Google searched webpage that I don't know scares the hell out of me. What have you guys used with success?

I found out about this site:

    Is it legit?

No. Read up on the laws: everyone is entitled to 1 credit report from each agency per year, free, directly from the agency.

When you file a credit card application with a credit union, they'll tell you.

They are legally prevented from giving you your Bekins score, as are all creditors. Generally car dealerships will tell you, but they aren't supposed to.

Just so you know, where you live matters right behind debt to income ratio. Living with the 'rents scores higher than even having a mortgage, and WAY higher than renting an apartment or house.

I used that site last year. Worked fine for me, I had got the info from a talk show about finances. There was some guy tjey interviewed that said to use it.

Freecreditreport.com will give you your credit score after you sign up for a trial (that you have to physically CALL and CANCEL).

As long as you've been paying on time, at least the minimum and don't have a high debt-to-limit ratio you're probably just fine.

For an extended period of time of course, I have very little credit. But that is because I have student loan debt and very little credit debt that affects my score and makes my score low and soft; because of my short credit history.
